Waste Management Policy
The Company has set the following objectives:
- Identify waste in all forms from within all aspects of our business
- Consider waste minimisation at all key design and construction stages
- Reduce waste being sent to landfill throughout the construction process
- Evaluate decisions and how they impact upon waste management
Our policy based on our objectives is to:
- Prevent waste going to landfill unless where absolutely necessary, through the use of soil hospitals and segregation of waste either at source or at a suitable recycling facility
- Partnership with Caleco Waste for all skip and debris removal, ensures that all materials, either segregated or mixed, will be recycled at their facilities
- Consistently review waste transfer reports, prepared by Caleco Waste and record % of waste being recycled and reused
- Ensure that all materials from Demolition works are either recycled onsite or at a designated facility, where possible maximise use onsite to reduce transport
- Raise awareness of our Waste Management policy through continual training both of site and office based staff
- Achieve membership of WRAP scheme, with a commitment to reduce landfill waste by 50%; www.wrap.org.uk
- Monitor energy waste from onsite plant and accommodation on a quarterly basis
